Welcome to the weekly guide to all known Doctor Who broadcasts.

The Scream Of The Shalka http://www.bbc.co.uk/cult/doctorwho/shalka
will be fully online as of the Thursday 18 December addition of
episode 6. If you've missed out on it, or were waiting for the whole
story to be online, it will be online. Scream is an official Doctor
Who animated story done in Flash (animation by Cosgrove Hall)
starring Richard E. Grant as the Doctor and Sir Derek Jacobi as The
Master. How long it will remain online is unknown. There are also
RealPlayer clips of many of the actors discussing their experiences
on the production.

BBC1 http://www.bbc.co.uk/bbcone has scheduled "The Story Of Doctor
Who", the 40th anniversary documentary, to air on Tuesday 30
December at 6:30PM GMT, as part of the Christmas programming. We are
keeping an eye out for any rebroadcasts and international airings
that may follow. Nothing apparent yet.

ABC Australia will pre-empt Doctor Who (and just about all regular shows) on Christmas Day. Pre-emptions are also expected in January. Varos website editor Jason Fraser reports that ABC will have its annual live coverage of the Hopman Cup Tennis tournament. The tournament is held in Perth, 3 hours behind Sydney, and last year the coverage ran till 7PM AEDT. Encore Australia is airing Daleks: Invasion Earth 2150A.D. on Monday
5 January at 5:35AM AEDT, repeating Saturday 17 January at 5:20AM

Dish Network http://www.dishnetwork.com subscribers in the Champaign/Urbana/Springfield, Illinois TV market are expected to be able to subscribe to their local channels either today (December 17) or tomorrow (December 18). This includes WILL 12 http://www.will.uiuc.edu , a Doctor Who affiliate. To receive the Champaign locals you have to arrange for the installation of a Superdish.

The American Who http://www.americanwho.net website was down for
much of last week. It is now running again, redirecting people to a
temporary site.

Next week's column will come out on Tuesday, December 23, to get out
before Christmas turns the internet into a ghost town. TWIDW will
return to Wednesdays on December 31.

Skaro. Most unattractive world. All it ever produced was the Thals and the Kaleds. The Kaleds managed to wipe themselves out with the Daleks and virtually wipe out the Thals. The Daleks have long since left Skaro behind, good riddance to a dead world. But now they have second thoughts. With their existence threatened by a new foe, the Daleks have returned to Skaro in hopes of discovering what they left behind. Big mistake.

A husband and wife pair of thieves prepare for the greatest crime yet - nabbing the Mona Lisa from the Louvre in Paris. Normally, the basis for a mildly comedic detective drama. But when the 4th Doctor begins to suspect that the theft may be on a larger scale, the detective winds up sidekick. First Doctor Who story filmed partially outside the UK.

The circle of life. Hunters become hunted. Wealthy become poor. Robots become mildly oddball furniture. The 4th Doctor, Romana, Adric, and K9 are as confused as the audience. But if we don't figure it out we just get the vague sense that we watched a good TV show that flew over our heads. If they don't figure it out the gateway between multiple universes could explode over them.
